My food has to be set up a certain way.

For some reason, whenever I feel hungry, I take a long time to set up where I am going to eat. I move around the table to find the perfect seat. All the condiments have to be nearby, my chair has to be just the right distance from the table, and the napkins have to be stacked neatly. I make sure the plate faces a certain way so that I can pick up the food the way I want. If everything isn't set up perfectly, I usually just play with my food and end up not eating anything. I'm pretty sure I'm not Obsessive Compulsive because I don't do this for anything else. I've tried ignoring it, but I just can't help it. It just gets annoying sometimes.

you probably just have rich desires.
as in you wanna be treated like rich man so its normal i guess your just like it perfect.
This sounds like a form of Obsessive Compulsive disorder. A lot of people are familiar with the more common manifestations, like counting or always having to have everything clean and perfect, but that's not the only way it works.

Try to catch yourself and see if you can avoid it. You're likely not going to feel comfortable, even if you do stop yourself.

With patience and practice, you can eventually teach yourself to override the obsessive compulsion when you want to (when you're with friends, for example), but I wouldn't recommend doing it all the time, your mind will grate at you if you do.

By all means, talk to a mental health professional if you can. It might help to talk to someone about it, and they might have more suggestions for you.

For the record, my little manifestation of Minor Obsessive Compulsive Disorder often wakes me from a sound sleep in the wee hours of the morning when I know that there is a DVD or a book on the shelf that isn't in alphabetical order.
i'd say ocd too, i do this all the time, possibly not in such an exagerated manner but i do.
Even though you may not have other rituals, this sounds like OCD to me.
This is definately OCD. If you need help, you can ask your local GP/doctor. and you would be permitted to a psychiatrist or even just a doctor.
Its not exactly normal but its suprisiingly common.
and you can have OCD in just one thing. but if you carry on with it. it can spread to your daily routine.
Don't worry. It's normal! You're not weird or anything. You don't need help or anything.
