Hi, I am a high school senior and a not very popular guy. Actually, I'd rather be seen as quiet and shy to make friends. So it would really hurt if the people I know ignore me, and that actually happen recently. I just don't understand why.
Two days before, everything was fine, and my classmates treat me normally. But then, everyone in the class suddenly ignore me, and I have the feeling that they are uncomfortable working in group with me and some of them really show that they don't even want to work with me.
What should I do now? I am confused, I can't even think of what I've done wrong. All we usually do in class are learning, talking, and laughing.
This might not be a very big problem since they are only my classmates. But because the class is so small, 8 people, so I feel very uncomfortable in class now. Please help me!
As Jen said, possibly approach someone in the group you feel comfortable with to ask if everything is okay, but definitely try out my first strategy first, as you may only serve to ignite more fires. Remember, teenagers are like hyenas. They'll seek out your weak point and attack it mercilessly. They hunt in packs and prey on the weakest. Use this as a reason to stand up for yourself and be someone that people WANT to hang out with and talk to. Don't wait to change your life, change it today. Happiness is just a thought away - being confident is not the end of the world.
Hope it all works out buddy.
