Everytime my housemate says she hates herself it makes me want to smack her! She's so beautiful, smart and funny and she's got an amazing boyfriend. Is it normal that I actually want to scream at her that I wish I had her life?
she probably just has a low self esteem problem, try telling her how beautiful smart and funny she is and hope she gets better. i know alot of women like this and i get incredibly frustrated at them its completely normal to get angry.
It is quite possible and for your description of her that she is quite possibly suffering from depression. Everything in her life may seem well but that doesn't mean it is not there. I have a coupple of friends who suffer depression and they were acting in a similar way. The key is for you to be there and support. To treat her as the person you know and most importantly not to judge her.
I would recommend that you bring depression up with her, don't push it if she doesn't want to talk, just gently bring it up again in the future.
I could even be another mental condition or just as likely NOTHING at all. But seeing a doctor is never a harm.
Maybe she's searching for attention. My cousin pulls that crap and to get her to shut up and realize the stupid things she's saying, I agree with her.
She became like, dumbfounded and shut up.
Ive known soo many girls who are like that (attention whores) soo when one of them says something stupid like that i either agree or completely disregard it and dont say anything only only one of them that i can remember has responded badly
