My pee smells like cheese

I've had a lot of medical problems in my time, but currently I'm running on arthritis, gallstones and a cyst on one kidney. Oh, and diverticular disease which according to my urologist, everyone has. All of which combine for a pretty funky living experience, but I am baffled by a recent development; my urine has started to give off a powerful aroma of cheese. Not quite parmesan level, but maybe wensleydale. Personally I'm relatively stink-free (though my sweat sometimes smells like baby milk...), and it flushes away, but it bugs me. Is it normal, something to do with my gallstones, or what?

I don't know how to answer your question because I'm not a doctor and of course you should ask your doctor these kinds of questions but pee normally doesn't smell like cheese. Mine smells like sewage and that could be my on going UTI. I don't know. All I know is that it smells pretty funky.

Try eating asparagus. That will make it smell like rotten cabbage. It does to me and I'm healthy.

is it like REALLY strong or kinda strong because i get really stong smelling pee that smells like pills when i take paracetomol and antibiotics, maybe its the same with cheese because its got a rather distict smell.

i drank lots of lucozade when i was ill once, and wen i went to pee.. it WAS lucozade.. seriously if you put it back in the bottle you wouldnt know it was pee.. so i am guessing your pee smells like cheese because of a mixture of stuff you have been eating recently
