First of all, you may find this extremely weird AND/OR terrifying.

I was lying on my bed till i drifted to sleep. Then, something odd happened. I wasn't really sure if i was asleep or awake, cause it felt so real. An invisible force was holding me back. My whole body couldn't move. My hands, my arms, even my legs. I could only open my eyes & see nothingness on top of me. What freaks me out the most is that I couldn't see what's on top of me. i know it because of my sheet's outline. I was fighting the 'thing' with all might but i couldn't even move a finger. Then I heard an evil laugh. I woke up, feeling my stiff body. I was positive that i was trying to move it because my muscles weren't relaxed. Even though i didn't move an inch, i felt tense at the very moment.

I'm having these nightmares almost every other night. Even so, I'm not really scared, except maybe for the laugh. So that's just about it. Is it normal?
Do you think it's normal?

Do you believe in spirits and shit like that? I don't, but if you do it could be some kind of weird haunting. It also could just be a weird recurring nightmare brought on by stress.
I looked up something on this awhile back. Basically, you were awake, but not enough to have muscle control, which is why you felt paralyzed. I remember more than once being "awake" but unable to breathe, and panicking. Same thing.
Yes, this is not normal, but it isnt a brand new thing. It's a type of mental disease, you get terrifying nightmares accompined with paralisis. See a doc.
I think u r still awake but not fully asleep...ur asleep enough that u cant move....and awake enough to notice u can't move.
:P

Classic sleep paralysis. Go read up on it. Nothing new.
i had that yesterday, and it felt so real. ugh, i was awful. when i was little, my mom used to told me, it was ghost. but, i remember learning it it psychology. i forgot what it's called. yeah, maybe sleep paralysis.
The exact thing happened to me not so long ago, (except for the laughing part). I was lying in bed asleep when I was woken with the same force you described. I couldn't move at all. It felt like someone heavy lying on me weighing down my whole body, arms, legs, tummy, everything! I soon shook out of it though. I was quite scared myself when I came around but I don't think it is anything serious. It's just your dreams playing games with you. If enough people have experienced, then it must not be anything spiritual. The laugh is just when you are still dreaming, you know what crazy things people can hear in their dreams. If this keeps on happening, try something like a night light or leave your door open a crack to let some light in, it helps allot with nightmares. If this doesn't work, consider seeing a medium if you think its a ghost. Hope this helped xx
i used to get that almost every night wheni was little, sometimes twice ina night.
i dont get it that much any mre though once ina blue moon.
Stop smokin blunts before you go to sleep.
And here is a childish but good idea(for me anyways).Imagine yourself as being the most invinsible and powerful thing and you'll never be scared. Stupid idea yes, could it work, possibly.
I did that as i was a kid and i haven't had a nightmae since. that was a good 6 years ago(when i was 7)

Have a look at:http://paranormal.about.com/od/ghosthuntinggeninfo/f/faq-incubus.htm where you can start reading up on succubus/incubus attacks. The general opinion is that ultimately such attacks are harmless once we get over the whole weird-out.Personally I've experienced several including one extremely violent with an Incubus trying to rape me (i'm male) which resulted in me standing up to fight him off (not easy whilst as good as paralysed) as though fully conscious only to find myself back in bed waking afterwards as though simply from a dream. Too ffkkn spooky! If a person can get more real as opposed to virtual sex in their life it's supposed to help..
I have never heard enythin like this before! i think its just your subconscious. there are different things that happen to different ppl eg like wakeing up in a cold sleep , like dreeming ur telling your self to wake up but your trapped in your dream and you know it (that happened to me) , my friend experianced something like that we had a sleep over and she couldent move in her sleepand i woke up and asked her wat was wrong with her eyes closed she answered me and wen she woke up she couldent remeber enything apart from this humming sound !! now me and my friend are like sisters and she was not jokeing !!!
Please understand, despite what ou may belive what happened too you happens too me once in a while its called an outer-body-experiance, the laughing you herd because you were 50% asleep so it was actualy part of a dream.
sleep paralisis is a mental disorder, go talk to your doctor.
