It's okay as long as it stays just a friendship, and doesn't go into flirting. I was in this situation with my boyfriend. He had a female friend who flirted a lot with him and I ended up getting really jealous and it caused a lot of problems. Just make sure you know your boundries because it can be unfair to the significant other and your friend.

It is perfecly normal as long as that freinds mate has no problem with it! I have a friend taht we go out and do things with because we have things in common that we like to do that his spouse doesn't. Like races I love them she thinks it's a waste of time! So we go togateher! She does keep tabs on him but I expect and appreciate that!
