Background: most people in my life are pretty nice and treat me well. I have some exceptional friends and I talk to others easily.
Story synopsis: sometimes people who either were nice and normal before, or who you would think would be nice, seem to ignore when I contact them.
Story: sometimes people I contact who talk to me back and forth stop talking to me for days, weeks on end. For example:
- Started talking to a guy (business), email and phone only, we were all about doing business coffee, things came up all the time, then I sent a few invitations, nothing, I left it be, nothing for weeks then he finally emails back: "Sorry was out of town for a few weeks".. without any kind of notice? Is it normal?
- Accidentally met a businessman (competitor), he invited me in, we talked over lunch, great conversation, then talked back and forth over emails, then he stopped contacting me altogether. But that's after warm, cordial back-and-forth of let's get together and talk shop... Is it normal?
- Normally punctual businessman who responds within minutes and I meet, talk business. He offers a small project, I agree. That was Saturday. Sunday I email him. Four days later -- no response. Is it normal?
so it carry's on for longer and we forget how much they meant to us. and even if they try to make contact.. if u cant be bothered u cant be bothered.
it doesnt mean you dont care about them... not at all. its jst one of those things i'm afraid.
I've ignored people before but usually because something is going on in my life is more important. But after a while I usually return the emails and calls. Theses men probably have short term memories and forgot all about you.
