So I have this unidentified nerve disorder. I'm fairly thin and so wherever bone protrudes (collar bone, hips, rib cage, ankles, etc.) I can't bear the feeling of anything touching them. My finger and toe nails, also. It's so difficult to wear nice clothes, they need to be somewhat baggy. Sleeping is a bitch. The mattress touches my hips and ribs, the blanket's on my collar bone. If someone touches one of those areas, ESPECIALLY my collar bone (that's the worst, worst one) I feel a wave of panic and nausea and, depending on the severity of the touch, sometimes begin to cry. I've been to therapy for this and my doctor was unable to find out what was wrong with me. I've never met anyone else with this problem, or anything remotely close to it.

Have you considered to gain some weight? My 1st girlfriend was anorexic and she had the same problem. It was much better after she got a normal weight.

Mate, learn to read. "I've been to therapy for this and my doctor was unable to find out what was wrong with me."

Stop giving advice which isn't needed.

I say get a new doctor. I mean one that actually gives a shit enough to give you the right advice instead of not knowing what it is and he is to lazy to find the right answer!!

Maybe you need a smarter therapist.

Then if the next one doesn't work, find another one.

Not all therapists are knowledgeable and/or good at their job, and I don't imagine your current one would be willing to recommend you to a new one if he/she is making money from you.

I used to hate being touched at all when I was very thin. Once I gained weight I got over it.
