Queers?

So, I'm black and everything. But I like rock music, which I'm sure you know in majority is sung by white guys. My favorite music artists are white(some black and asian)and I just feel weird sometimes. When my sisters are listening to rap and stuff like that by black people, I'm listening to rock by white people. I just feel so queer about that. I feel like I don't fit in with my own kind. I simply feel odd about that. Like when people ask me what my fav music artist is(I bet their expecting a black person-some rapper or whatnot) I say someone white. I mean I'm caramel black, i guess. But people still put me in that category of listening to rap all the time. I have nothing against rap though. It just gets annoying sometimes.

I could use some reassurance over here. You know, the usual. You can like who ever you want, its your choice of what kind of music you like. Yeah, that kinda stuff. Help?
Do you think it's normal?

I bought an album (LP) yesterday made in 1957 by a guy named Jimmie Skinner at an antique store. Its called "Songs that make the Juke Box Play".

You think I would be able to help you with your rap vs rock dilemma?
Would you?
It is kind of strange how all the new members seem to be 12 or 13 year old females. MMMMMM
NOT original. FAKE in fact. Nice try.
If you like the music that much your just gonna have to stand up to your convictions. Maybe if you convert a lot of your friends we can get some of this rap because while there is some good rap the majority of it is jut whinging nigger music
Another pointless post that makes me want to swallow a bullet.
Do you know of any better sites for someone my age?
Being as you expired some 20 years ago, isn't any reply we could give you rather pointless?
@: JanIAm
I thought you and rock were around the same age. Shouldnt you get along then?
what is this some fake poster with sand and her ass
point???
Not QUITE that old. And if I was, I wouldn't admit it. Any rock music that came out of the 50's was pure shit, IMHO. But that's just me.
@: JanIAm
Still in your prime I see Jan. How long do I have until your out of it?
Let's just say I don't any knitting needles in my future for a good long time. Unless they're for some kind of wicked-cool martial arts moves.
@: JanIAm
Jan you need to check all your post, Ive been talking to you like crazy tonight. You need to come by and watch the rest of repoman with me.

What? I am 12. I see how'd you'd think that with all the perves out there. But honestly, i am 12. I swear on my preteen life.
caramel black? uh wow yea I'm going to say this story is fake, but i don't see why black people can't listen to rock, over 90 percent of rappers listen to rock, they talk about kurt cobain all the time.
Oh my gosh! This is so very true. But whatever. You people can think whatever you want about me. But, I know I'm 12!!!! Oh and thankyou to those people who actually posted something about my dillema.
ok, just a little advice from a 21 year old woman to a 12 year old child, don't say the word queer, that's just stupid. You don't have to listen to "black" music just because you are black, I know quite a few black people who listen to pop, punk, and all kinds of rock, so I don't see why it bothers you so much. There is no such thing as black people music, and white people music, everyone is invited to listen to whatever they want.
Well said, Vi. Hey, hope you and the young 'un had a happy new year!
you are like Jan, you are smart gal...
@: JanIAm
awww thanks you two, happy new years to you too!
wow you like to describe bands and people by color alot, don't you? i know tons of black people that like rap. it's all good. just break the mold, who cares if it makes you happy
