sex age in america needs to be lowered

??why do we have the mentality of people under 16 are dumb?

im a 14 year old girl and im with a older man who is 29 and i dont want my boyfriend to go to jail because of a high age consent.

we already have 2 kids together.

in mexico sex age is 12 and in canada sex age is 14

The age limit is there to protect young people. They are easily exploited by older more mature people (of both sexes). Think yourself lucky some one actually cares!

If this is true (I'm doing my best to suspend disbelief here), then your man is a pedophile and you are an idiot. In the US, there are damned few (if any) kids under the age of 17 who are really prepared for all of the consequences of engaging in sexual relationships amongst themselves, let alone with supposedly mature adults.

Kids engaging in sex with adults and producing more kids is hardly the answer to any social problems that I'm aware of.

2 kids togheter? lie. but the thing is: Most kids ARE to dumb to have sex whiteout getting pregnant or having some disease. I watched this video about sum girl in the age of 14 having sex. she had done it with 89 men. But ur little thingy about kids is most likely fake. and the guy only want u for the sex.

Well, one thing I can tell you, and i hope you dont get offended, is that you just screwed up your life, though you are very lucky that guy didnt have sex with you and left you, its still bad, and no, one thing is sex age, and thats by popularity count (at what age most ppl get pregnate aprox...), and another thing is being overage, here you can legaly have a kid when you are 17, no less.

Many people start experimenting with sex between ages 14-17. The Law should reflect the types of relationship that are acceptable at these ages. Note the law does varies between States. We should try not to punish innocent relationships.

ex. 14m/14m, 15f/16m, 17f/19m

OK first off you're 14 and having a relationship with a 29 year old man? That just has 'wrong' written all over it. Yeah sure, Mexico has a sex age of 12, and look where they are.
Sorry but you live in the US, and there are higher standards here. The laws were made by people who have done the same things you have done, maybe worse. You'll understand when you are older. Your boyfriend who is 29 is scary. Just be careful.
