At 50 , I feel I'm a bit of an anomaly. The music, films,literature, and humor that I enjoy are largely appreciated by younger people; thus, I usually find it difficult to relate to those my own age.

So after two failed marriages, I've decided that if there isn't a suitable younger man out there for me, then I'd rather just go it alone. With two teens and one adult daughter still at home and a house full of felines, reptiles, and one cavy, I'm not exactly alone, anyway. I miss the excitement of being with one special man sometimes, but my experience is that intimacy takes a lot of work and ultimately, it's all about being able to build a successful partnership. Which in the long run, for me, isn't that exciting.

I had some bad sexual experiences when I was younger, so I stopped being sexual altogether to avoid the pain. Since I felt nothing for men, and went to an all girls school I thought I might be lesbian... but I realised I couln't think about, let alone touch, a girl that way. So I was asexual for about 6 years. I got plenty of offers but I just didn't give a shit. Then I met my current boyfriend, a very very odd individual who I inexplicably want to fuck sensless alot of the time... Havn't yet though. Looking foward.
