I'm about to go on holiday with my boyfriend (our first hol together and we don't live together). We'll be sharing a room and bathroom I'm really worried 'bathroom smells'!!
How do couples living together handle this? I mean if you go to the toilet and there is a smell in the air, what happens when your partner wants to use the toilet straight after?
I would find it too embarassing. Anyone got any tips/advice on this? Thanks!
(I have like 3 under my bed i cant run out or else i dont breath!)
I know this is an old post, but it's not to late to help others in this situation.
candles.
nice-smelling spray.
I just went away with two guy friends, i couldn't poop when i knew they would know, although they didn't have a problem with it.
I waited until we were out for the day and did it quickly in an empty public restroom or something... haha
Actually, we're taught to be embarrassed by out excrements when we are toddlers. It's programmed into our brains, so yes, this is normal.
Think of this as an opportunity to get to know your partner better. ;) I remember sharing a hotel room with my mate once, and we had these cheese sticks at this restaurant and Oh my GOD the place stunk so bad! Hahaha! We were practically forced to get over the embarrassment. Then there was the farting-during-sex thing... Ah, I'll never forget.
These things sound like nightmares, but once they're over and done, it actually brings you closer (as gross as it may sound to you.) It IS natural and everyone does it, it's just hilarious how embarrassed we get over such meaningless things.
If I were you, the last thing I'd do is worry about it. If he says anything about the smell tell him that his doesn't/wouldn't smell like a bed of roses either. If your relationship is real enough for sex, this is the next step. ;)
No matter what though, relax. It is more you that cares about the smells than him and if you don't make a big deal about it and laugh about it when confronted, it will put him in a more relaxed mood and WILL STRENTHEN your relationship.
If its you that cares so much about the smell, just let it go. Guys tend to love you more if you let the little things go. Odds are, if you have been with him a while, you probably stunk once or twice and he kept it to himself.
