Shark Attack Ruined my Life

Hi, i use to be what they called a supreme surfured, where i have ridden waves the size of houses. I have taken part in all big wave competition around the world. Life was so good, i was making great money, great sponsers, tavelling to places like Fiji, South Africa and other exotic destinations. But every thing i lived for and enjoyed ended on 17 Febuary 2006, i was attacked by a great White off the coast of New Zealand. 60%% of my left leg was amputated and i lost all sensability on right arm. My life is over i can never surf again, all the women, parting, travelling is over. I have no more interest in life, all the money i have earned has gone up my "Nose" and iam considering suicide Everyday. Please help i dont know what to do, One day everything was perfect the next iam a suicidal drug addict.

one thing at the time, first quit the drugs and or the suicidal part, what ever is coming first, then you will have time and a clear mind to see that people with same or even worse luck have made it just fine in life. you had the feeling of being on top, others will never do cause they were born with situations that will not allow them to. now is your turn to put your self together and help others to have that feeling... start by yourself.
maybe you cant surf, but you can do many other things that will give you the adrenaline and the peace of soul that surfing used to.

I think you should stop feeling sorry for yourself, it could have been worse, you could be dead or have lost your penis. You still have your left arm and right leg, stop taking the drugs and move on.

Phone a suicide hotline and get help. Suicidal thoughts are very common among the young and few experience the trauma you underwent and have to deal with daily. Depression is treatable. That part of your life may be over but a new one will begin. Life is all about changes. Good luck.

If i were you i would become a sky-boarder, ya know just jump out of planes with a snowboard attached to your stump and do some gnarly moves! You could do it! Also you could be an extreme cliff jumper in Hawaii.

i'm sorry to hear this sad story of your. But you should be happy that you still alive. It's hard for you to walk or surf like before but now...you need to find something else that you want to do. Women...who's care...i bet someday she will come into your life. Money, you can always work something else to find money. This world has a lot of thing for you to do. Don't give up please....
