I don't really know why this happens, but whenever I think of a mistake I made, or someone that's proved me wrong, or occasionally just randomly, I instantly picture a .12 gauge pump shotgun in my head. Then I picture myself holding it and pumping it, though not shooting it or pointing it at anything. What the hell is up with that?

Anybody else?
Do you think it's normal?

A similar thing happens to me. If I make a mistake on something, or get in trouble, I picture myself falling off a tall building.
Reminds me of when I make a mistake and then say "Edit Undo" before realising I'm not sitting at a computer. =D
This is actually quite common amongst mentals.
Unwanted images/thoughts is a symptom of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Do a web search and see if you have any other symptoms.

Is OCD hereditary? If so, I probably have it, because my father has it. He also has depression problems, as well as ADD. I think i have all of these things, though not severely. I recall, when I was younger, about 5 or 6, having to touch things a certain way, and if i touched something with my left hand, I'd have to touch it the same exact way with my right hand. Now that I think about it, I know I have OCD more severely than ADD or depression, though not severe enough where i need medication (although I do consider myself a bit insane, but aren't we all?).
