sister swinging
My sister is a freshman in highschool, and everyday after school, and on the weekends, normally about 5 times a day, goes outside on our old swingset, and just swings listening to her mp3 player. its so weird, and we live in a public area, kinda, and people go by in cars and ask me why. and i dont know why, i asked her and she says she doesnt know either, but ill look outside and she'll just be smiling, laughing, and really happy out on her stupid swing. i want to know how to get her to stop, cuz she's even embarrassed when people ask her, and i do too, is this normal?

Maybe shes on drugs while she is doing it! I don't know, its not normal behavior obviously, so tell her to stop.

I think she finds it relaxing, which would make her behavior normal. It's just her way of winding down after school. You should leave her alone.

I like to swing.. I think it's very free and I feel like I can fly. It's very relaxing though. So no need to be embarrass.

another thing, i rather have a sister that swings for fun than one that talk on the phone constantly and wasting money on 100 bucks slippers.

Its normal, she probably needs time alone and thats what she enjoys. Its not harming anyone else so leave her be.

What's so wierd about it? Just because things in play parks are expected to be used by children doesn't mean older people can't enjoy them. I'm 18 and I like playing with all the crap in parks. Swings, round-a-bouts, see-saws, slides, etc. but I get dodgy looks. That's why I like when my friend takes her nephew out to the park so I don't look so strange because they only think I'm doing it to entertain him, or at night when the parks are empty and my friends and I feel like hanging around outside.

I love swings, they remind me of being a little kid. If you have a swingset at your house then she's just using it. Just like you would use a TV or a phone. Why do you care what other people think? It's not you they're giving weird looks
