I often smile without a specific reason. I smile to people who often don't smile back due to my hideous appreance and the fact I am a female European. But this only makes me smile more. I smile so hard it hurts my jaws, which I find funny and I smile even harder, that is how I've gotten hospitalized several times now. When I think back to that, it makes me smile. Yes, at this point in time, I am in fact smiling. But I rarely lol. Is this normal?

yes and no.

we all smile at odd times, there are many reasons why that is so.

1) it is just easier to smile then show how we truely feel
2) it take less muscles to smile

and the hole not LOL'ing is not uncommon, as many feel that it is embarising

you never LOL, so you never laugh? I smile at people usually when I'm walking in a public place, but sometimes they don't smile back, and I feel like a freak.

Yes. In my language the dump-smile is called a grimas. It suits well.

well i hardly smile..
but when i do its usually at the wrong time for ex.
i smile when someone died
when someones crying, hurting, in pain
idk maybe its a defense mechanism
but anywhoos yea smiling is overrated.

i wouldn't worry, smiling raleases a hormone which makes you feel good, it also helps stop people from being depressed.

yes its sad, but its so funny how easily they actually beleive you swelll? right? i think every girls has told him that so when i told him he beleived me and i wa sliek are you serious?? hahahah

I smile quite a lot too. As a matter of fact I catch myself smiling unknowingly. Sometimes to the point of my law cramping :). Normal for me, yes. Normal to others? No. Still not a reason to not smile.

There is some disease that this reminds me of!

It's called Angelmans syndrome. I believe this is mainly a diagnosis for people who are mentally retarded as well, which you don't seem to be. But yeah, just reminded me of that... :D

My face looks happy all the time which causes everyone I see to smile at me.. I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing because they might just think my face looks funny. x]

It's not normal to be hospitalized because you smile too much though, but it's normal to be happy =] If you continue to be hospitalized because you over-smile then try going to a therapist.
