Sometimes I wish I were the opposite sex

I laughed hard at a lot of comments on this, mainly because of the rampant craziness of who has it better. The genders have their perceived strengths and weaknesses and they're LARGELY based on how we view them, the stereotype of what makes a man or a woman, and media.

My husband and I talk a lot about gender and how our genders act. I personally love being a woman but some days I would love to be a man. Aside from the simple sexual curiosity (not to mention getting to piss standing up without making a damn mess) it's the power. In the group of male friends I have I am generally the joke. I know why. I'm an easy target. I'm asthmatic, a girl, the smallest of the bunch, and in general not very quick on the draw with a comeback. So sometimes I wish I was a guy because I think it would make it easier to be one of the guys lol. I feel that if that whole "I'm a woman" thing wasn't in the way I could get to know them better too. But aside from that I always thought it would be cool to see the difference in attitude towards me if I were a man instead.

A big sticking point with both myself and my husband is misogyny and misandry. The hatred of women and the hatred of men. As much as feminism has been regaled and trumpeted not many people think of the way men are treated. Guys can't get away with anything lol. I mean really. All a girl has to do is point and lie to ruin a reputation. If a guy were to point at a girl and say "she raped me" people would probably laugh. Meanwhile if the roles were reversed it would be a serious matter. I've seen it done first hand. It's a TERRIBLE misuse of the legal system, judicial system, and even the basic social system we rely on.
