it could be ocd. if so you don't necessarily need to see a "psychiatrist" as stated in someone elses post. if it is ocd do whats right for you. i have ocd and use to do similar things. but not that. i'm not the best speller in the world anyways. Don't let it become too bothersome or control your life. Whether its ocd or not you can fight the urge if you want and try to think about other things instead of doing that.

haha i do that! well i do alota things my head never stops i gota count every line i see and add every number i see and say back things in my head randomly and ya its soo fuking annoying at times cuz its pretty hard to concentrate when this is going on 24/7 and i asked my bf if hes like that and hes like uhh no nuthings going on up there haha... but ya i have OCD i have my whole life and every so often my brain makes up more stupid things i gota do.. get some effexor pills or ask ur Dr wat pills will work for u.. nuthings workd for me but i just cant ever remember to take the pills lol

um yer its normal, i do something similar.(not all the time)but sometimes When i hear a word i spell it in my head a few times even if i know how to spell it.

OMG I only have to do that with some words. The hospital at my University is called the MOffitt center and I have to spell it whenver I see it. I also have to do it whenever I hear or read Mississippi. Might be weird...but im with ya.
