Strange Habits to Fall Asleep

In order to fall asleep, I have to sleep near the bottom 2/3rds of the bed, on my stomach, with my feet hanging over the edge of the mattress.

The rare times I'm not on my stomach, I can't stand it--in fact it seems to hurt--if the sheets are pulling down on my toes, so I then have to sleep with my feet uncovered.

AND, in any event, I have to have my pillow turned 90 degrees from the way most people sleep with a pillow.

IF I do not engage in this behavior, I won't fall asleep. My wife thinks I'm nuts--but she has grown accustomed to my strange behavior and the way that I manipulate the sheets. Is she right? Am I crazy?
Do you think it's normal?

nah some people sleep between mattresses...
Now if you really want to get over it, try this:
Don't sleep for a night.
Than, next day, don't sleep too.
Than, when you go finally to sleep with bloody eyes, you won't care even if you sleep on your head.Use this as a starting poing to get used to sleep in different position.
I would do so.Its up to your will.
Good luck.
Yeah I think it is normal..Thats how my dad is. Every time I see him sleeping he has his feet hanging off...He does that with his pillow too so its normal.
But Im the opposite. I have to sleep with my feet on the bed because if their hanging off, I get scared that a monster under my bed will grab them and pull me under too..And Im being serious. I watch too much scary movies I guess!
