The middle east hates us because they are still living in the 9th century - plus are jealous and afraid of us because they belive (Correctly) that if we bring the miracle of flush toilets and refridgeration to keep food good more than two hours, the population they oppress might LIKE it and decide to join the rest of the world in modern life.

I Would suggest bombing them to the stone age, but that would be moving them up a few years.

In all seriousness, I do like most Americans. I just really hate flags with red and white stripes and fifty white stars on a blue background in the upper left corner. People hate America because it's fashionable. Oh yes, it is the embodiment of evil and the cause of everything wrong with the world...like the world was perfect before the US was here.

Nothing has changed, but when you can hate a common enemy and depersonify it it's easy to get obsessed with and use it as a scapegoat for anything. The garden won't grow? Blame America.
