It's not legal and it's only normal if you are from Albania or some other east European shithole who has travelled to the UK under the false impression that the streets are paved with gold because your future pimp told you so whilst you were still in your homeland, or if you're a crack addict from Kings Cross.

Not legal but there was talk a while back about licensing some places to
a) get them off the streets
B) keep them safe
C) Keep them disease free.
D) protect the neighbirhoods they frequent to ply their trade.

Personally, I'd rather see some licensed sex shops than have sex crazed idiots going out and raping innocents.

It's legal in the netherlands (and Germany I think), I think parts of USA (but I might be wrong), dominican republic, and many west indian countries. I think its also legal in a quite a few asian countries. In many parts of the world (like the middle east) it isnt legal but there's 100% chance you wont get arrested, and the prostitue wont get arrested. Im not speaking from experience, I just know this stuff because I'm a nerd. (oh and I think its basically legal in Spain as well)

Being a prostitute in the UK is not illegal it is however illegal for them to ply their trade on the streets, also illegal to solicit a prostitute.
Don't know if i'd say it's normal but it's been going on for a very long time.

Not illegal in Netherlands. All people in the sex trade are screened by doctors monthly.
