The strangest urge..

whenever i stand close to water,or im in a car with the window rolled down,or im standing from a high place, and i have my ipod or camera or something i paid alot of money for, i have the urge to just throw it into the water or out the car window or off a cliff. Of course i would never actually do it. But if some big company was like here take this laptop and you can throw it off a cliff and well give you a new one aswell, that would give me the biggest rush. is this normal ?

Hell yeah. I feel the same. I think it is a destruction thing. If you had a hammer would you be happy with smashing stuff if it was replaced?

Yeah it is.
Those things are precious, they're expensive, people had to work to get the money for them, may it be you or someone who got them for you... and breaking it would be a rush in the same way pushing a random person in public would be.
You're not supposed to do it, it would be bad if you did, and that makes you want to. It's human nature.
Doing what you can't do is fun.

My explanation is that you, as you should, fear losing/breaking those objects, but you mind being overpowered by such feelings and to gain control over them you decide that you yourself will willfully destroy the object, gaining power once again.

Now that i think about it thats probally why I accidentally let go of my Wiimote when playing Wii Sports and it flew straight into my plasma screen Tv
