Are You Normal?

The universe, is it normal?

here are my thoughs on this subject... a few things

one, how did the universe ever even come to exist? and if there was a "big bang" what caused it and how can so much material come through one tiny spot, if the universe is ever-expanding, then whats beyond the edge where it hasnt expanded to yet?

If there is a god, who put HIM in charge and who was before him? (I dont take the answer, "He was always there and always has been") because somebody had to make him and put him in power

Nobody is satisfied with JUST wanting people to warship him, i dont care who you are...

also, studies said that if you take an empty vacuum in space and run electricity though it, minescuel orginisms (single celled) start to form, how is this possible? and if so what caused the electricity that made the organisms?

I also think that people who say we are alone in the universe are f*cking retarded, just from this image

http://www.firstpr.com.au/astrophysics/hubble-deep-field/hubble-deep-field-northern-detail-rw.jpg

we can see thousands of GALAXYS and constelations, each galaxy contains millions of STARS which hundreds of PLANETS revolve around, you really think that earth is the ONLY habbitable planet out there? And aliens dont have to look scary or fearsome or angry things that want to kill us all, for all we know there could be people JUST LIKE US and, its not to hard to realise why aliens would want to destroy us, we are destructive and wastefull, they would have to spend trillions of tons of neuclear weponry to destroy us all and that would be inacceptable to their needs (unless they have hundreds of planets to draw thoes resourses from)

DEATH, what about it? if i die is it just infinate blackness without a consious mind? Do i just cease to exist¿ its almoast impossible to imagine something so bleak, where would my mind go? where would all my thoughts and ideas end up? the answer, nowhere you just dont exist... I know its hard to fathom this idea

Is it normal that anyone else thinks about these things, even thinking about it makes me depressed and almoast useless... so what if i get a job and be successfull? in the end, im going to die anyways and not remember any of it, it wont make any F*CKING difference...

Is it normal for all these ideas to dwell in a 15 yearold adolescence?
Do you think it's normal?

Hell yeah, i contemplate these ideas all the time (well not all the time) but it is normal. You have an inquisitive mind! My ake is that, I agree with you about the galaxies. There has got to be another planet or something with life on it somewhere you know! I mean space is fucking huge and to think we are the ONLY ones! As for the god question, I dont believe in him and i believe science more than a theological figure. I definitely don't believe that God created us and I truly believe in the Big Bang Theory. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang_theory thats a link to help you out. And also I always think about what will happen after death. Like what wouldhappen you know? I mean do we just rot in the dirt forever never to be seen again and let generation after generation pass us without eternal life. I'm glad you're posting stuff like this, it gives us something to talk about. We're tired of the .smithee stargirl posts. Also, it shows that someone in this world wants to find out mor in life than drugs and other illegal activities that teens do.
yea, thanks for the non-asshole reply by the way

and im agnostic. (I believe in a higher power, i mean i think there is a higher power but it dosent have a name, and i dont worship it or practice any kind of worship or following of rules to it)
think about it this way..when we find the answers to all of those questions..we'll have even more questions..and we'll never be satisfied.
its certain that there is no god that created anything.how did it all began ?we may never know but the question was what led to the myths that some big guy in the sky created it all.people who believe such stuff really havent advanced much in 20000 years.
as for being alone, just the vast expanse of space would lead one to believe that there has to be other life out there.but also that vast expanse of space and our own fragile bodies and short life spans also makes it very unlikely that we will ever encounter other life.
"also, studies said that if you take an empty vacuum in space and run electricity though it, minescuel orginisms (single celled) start to form, how is this possible? and if so what caused the electricity that made the organisms?"
The electricity was run through a solution of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen.. not vacuum.
And it wasnt single cellular life that formed, it was amino acids, a precursor to life.
If im wrong, let me know.
Wouldnt hurt to see the source of the research as well.

It takes life millions, if not hundreds of millions of years to reach a state of cells.
A cell is an entire society of molecules.

And yes, off course there is life elsewhere in the universe. That is almost a mathematical fact.
about?
sofar as you know
I ammend to thy's wisdom in this post.
I calaborate and contemplate these idea's everyday with other deep thought people in my neighborhood.

This is the conclusion that we came too:
Everything and anything that we have today,
was NAMED by us Humans.

We dont truly know that that the bible is a non-fictional story of events that shaped todays future.
It could even be a Fictional story that was written by a man who had a lot of time on his hands, just to please the eyes of Mankind.

God could be no more a central character in this book.

*end rant*

Well thats all we came up with.
For that, we are BAND form church...I know!
I didn't even know they could do that!!!!
FUCK YOU YOU STUPID PRICK, YOU STOLE MY FUCKING STORY

i hate youi hate youi hate youi hate youi hate you

oh wait... it IS my story :p

MUHAHAH jkjk

im a little tired right now so im not thinking straight...
Such a big topic raised here!
I was born into a Christian family and I won't stop believing that Jesus died for us but at the same time, I know that that can sound really strange. Who knows for sure what's going on, after all, science shows ( and I believe in science and religion, i.e God created the universe and He created science) that the universe started at the Big Bang 14 billion years ago.
God seemed to manage to create a lot out of nothing but I guess that is why He is God!
I wonder what people will be discussing in 200 years' time. Will they know more of the secrets of God?
This subject it way too big for our small minds to understand.
if there is life on other planets, which is most likely possible, i doubt we'll ever reach them, in our lifetimes anyway. the universe is simply too big for two planets with life on them to be close together. and they probably wouldnt look like us, because their world would be very different.
