in science, "theory" means a way of thinking, not something you are not sure about. many people do not understand this.
if this doesnt make sense to you, think about atomic theory. you may not believe it because it is just a "theory", but atom bombs were build on it, and there is nothing "theoretical" about losing your ass in a mushroom cloud.
Evolution is a fact, it occured, it is occurring, and it will occur as long as life continues on earth.
the only people disputing this are stupid rednecks who believe a book written 2000+ years ago and translated and changed radically about 1000 times since then.
You seem to be missing the whole point of the theory.
The rest is merely small talk, gossip or downright lies.
BTW we did not come from monkeys. they are stupid asshats who like eating bugs and picking their ass. only the second thing is true about man. but only the lazy faggots pick their ass.
Fuck you evolutionists and fuck communism
When a large berry is in season, larger birds survive better than smaller ones, this is because smaller birds cant eat big seeds n shit. when smaller seed and fruit is in season, the smaller birds survive better, because the big birds need bigger food to survive, and the smaller ones can just eat and eat the small things. this happens so on and so fourth. this process affects preditors of the bird and preditors of the preditors of the bird. and so on and so fourth.
I hope all the retards out there can understand this simple explanation
Anyone who doubts this should attend a ball game or watch their local legislature in action to see the evidence of this.
I rarely make judgments on people's characters this way but....
If you don't believe it you are deluded and turn your head from what is right in front of you aka a leech on intelligent thought.

While Darwin's theory brought the theory of evolution into the public eye, people have utilized selection in ways that mime the natural processes of evolution.
It blows my mind that people do not make the connection between something like dog breeding to natural selectiom, which is the major foundation of long term evolution.
Bloodhounds are not natural. They have been bred over generations, and the ones with the most desirable traits give birth to the more ideal versions of the breed. WHat is not to get?
No, animals don't just reapear if every last one of them has died. They may become few in number, and have a resurgence. I am not sure what you are talking about. If you are talking about fossilized evidence you have to remember that there are many conditions that need to be just right for a fossil to be preserved in the first place.

In my scenario, time isn't really that big of a problem, since as I stated before, I do have an unlimited amount of time to get the job done. So even if I did get it wrong the first 100,000,000,000,000,000 times, I could start over again. So it could be possible. The fact that I would have a map of my own genes, and the maps of all the cockroaches would indicate that I knew how to go about evolving the cockroaches into a copy of myself. My ultimate point is that it is possible, if I was given the right circumstances and time period.
Given the terms and conditions I have set forth in my theoretical scenario, no. With an infinite period of time, ideal conditions, and my eternal guidance, the outcome would be inevitable. I would evolve a cockroach into a replica of myself.
The First Council of Nicea convened in 325 C.E. and sorted through the texts they could find in an effort to create a definitive book that corroborated Constantine's view of Jesus as the messiah.
Interestingly, they eliminated some 80% of the texts gathered because those texts did not support their story. Since that time, the Bible has been modified - sometimes slightly, sometimes grossly - several times.
One of the most significant revisions - and one I think is pertinent to some of the comments I've read here - resulted from writings by Augustine of Hippo (Saint Augustine) in which he created the idea of original sin. This and many other puritan ideas sprang from his inability to deal with his own sexuality.
Since he couldn't align his evolution-based desire for sex with his religiously forced denial of it, he wrote that humans were sinful if they attempted to fulfill their natural desires.
If you do a little research and don't ignore what you find, you'll conclude that the Bible has been modified many times by many people.
Actually if you read the book of Revelations you might find that things actually match up, and everything in history is exactly as the Bible portrays, coincidence? Perhaps not.
So thats what revelation is about then. I might read into it sometime, if I have the time, recently I've been staying up till like 1 in the morning doing school work, though I do start at like 11, so... I guess I can change that.
what is your opinion on atomic theory? or theory of planetary motion? do you have one?
Think about WHY you have an opinion on evolutionary theory, and where that opinion comes from, and that will answer alot of questions for you.
pooltoy - I know enough that I want to know about those theories, I believe in creationism.
And I was saying that I didn't like how these religions just evolved from the original desert god belief.
btw, if you are ever out at sea, don't sail off to far. I hear you might fall off the edge of the earth, and then monster's chew you up.
:D
I have never heard of that theory pringle, but people throughout history have always had some kind of idea that some god was out there, that's why they had idols.
All I do know is man is not smart enough to figure out his origin, I go by faith, and that alone.
The big bang theory was really Chuck Norris giving a roundhouse kick to the head

It raises questions which you might find eye-opening.
