I am 21 and i still wont go underwater without plugging my nose and closing my eyes. I hate water getting all up in my nose and the chlorine burning the things behind my eyelids in which I use to see. Nose plugs are for pussies, and all the haters that make fun of me for not learning can suck it! oh. p.s. I used to pretend i was the little mermaid in the pool.
Do you think it's normal?

Try fresh water swimming, no chlorine to burn your eyes, and water only gets right up your nose if you attempt to breath underwater using your nose.

Try exhaling slowly.

Also with rising water levels you better get used to it, and as for the mermaid? well i hope your not a dude (if so get help) lol

i always hold my nose when i jump into pools but can kinda peek underwater but i dont like it. also, i guess your a girl else u have issues.

i'm a male, 12 years old and i still use swimming googles that covers the nose if i REALLY is gonna be underwater.

Googles is your friend ^^

i love opening my eyes underwater, except in the sea. but i love it everywhere else :) and as for the nose thing i have never noticed it so i don't really know what to say :)
