For 21 years, I have known the bliss of never knowing anything about my mom’s period stuff. It was out of sight, out of mind. However, one dreadful day, I find out that mom throws her dirty tampons away in the wastebasket in the bathroom. I’ve never even seen a tampon (out of it‘s package), let alone a used one, until one day, I was alone with the new family puppy, and he came out of the bathroom with a used tampon in his mouth. My mom’s! I discovered him chewing on it and he left it on the floor when I said "No! Bad dog!". I had to pick it up and throw it away! It was nasty! It was all fuzzed out and pink and red. I washed my hands like eight times and I’m not even the type to wash after peeing. Later that day my brother picked the puppy up and rubbed noses with it, and it licked his face. Is it normal?

Dogs will do that, mine did too.
Did you tell your mom, so it doesn't happen again? BTW, you're not supposed to flush tampons. I can just imagine that conversation . . .

Yeah, dogs love those things. Gross huh? I wouldn't worry about him licking you though. They have more enzymes in their mouths than people do and so their mouths tend to be cleaner. I know though, just the thought of where that tongues been. Ewww.

I seriously hope your brother forgot about the incident wheen he was rubbing the dog's nose or else he is a disgusting pig. Also tell your mother to put them in a more sanitary environment.

Your parents had sex.
You were most likely an accident.
If you don't like her periods that much, tell her to go on the pill.

Yeah that's normal for a dog unfortunately. Dogs are preditors and love the taste of blood, that's the only reason I can think of why they would do that. They must of smelt it and thought it was food. My dogs root through bins and grab those too.
