You need to find some other types of activities to take up more of your free time. I would suggest that you get involved in sports or something that involves physical activity. After all it beats sitting on the couch getting fat.

There is some weird shit going on around here that is all I can say!

I just bought my PS3 last year, and I really enjoy playing it. The only Games I have purchased for it so far are Call of Duty 3 and 4,Assassins Creed,Lair,and Rainbow Six Vegas. I like the Call of Duty games the best.

I do know how adictive these things can be so don't feel alone. I just don't play on a daily basis I play on the weekends only.

Since you like it so much, why not become a game tester http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_tester. You'll have to go to school to learn more but why not turn your "addiction" into a career. You might even get hired by Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc. to create games for them. It's big business that will only get bigger as time goes on. Good luck and have fun doing it.

believe it or not, they have opened rehabilitation centers in Europe for video game addictions. They are very real. Video games have been shown to release the same endorphins as cocaine. But any activity can be psychologically addictive. I would ask anyone on this post to name one that can't. (there is only 1)

Oh yeah Glen Quegmire is Slack. He had me believing he was a sick young man with a limited amount of time to live. I actually felt sorry for him. I have learned the hard way that there are certain individuals on here that love to play head games. As far as him having a "hot wife" I seriously doubt it, I think he is a habitual hand wanker! I am the one that wrote that story because I was glad to see the site operating once again. When I started to realize all the changes that had been implemented, I started to regret writing the story. This is a great website that I personally have had a lot of fun on.

We have all known that there was a need for some moderation on here, but I know of several members who are being banned for no good reason like being to chatty and off topic. We have always been able to chat with each other about things as we are doing right now, but apparently the moderator expects us to stay "on topic" in regards to the original story.

If this is what the website is coming to I am going to opt out. I can definitely understand banning someone for racism and pedophilic comments and such but to "chatty" come on. The other thing is I always thought this was supposed to be an adult website but the problem with the minors has not been addressed. I realize that it would be practically impossible to keep them off here but more effort could be put forward.

As far as I can tell Udi is not going to tolerate to much arguing between members before you will be banned. It looks like if you want to be ignorant and nasty to your fellow man you will no longer have an account here. But some times you simply have got to defend yourself against the trolls in here, and if you get banned for that so be it.

It seems as though Udi is getting better about answers emails in a timely manner, I know he took care of my login problems relatively fast. I would suggest you give it a try and see what happens. I am with you, it would be nice to have the chat room back.

normal i got a mmorpg call city of heros and i playd it for 9 hour so i see how you can get addiction to them i had to uninstall it and put away because it was getting out of hand other then that i just play old mario games for like a hour a week and and new wii games for i lila bit aday

a lot of kids play a lot of video games. even girls do now a days. but if its all you do all day every single day you should probably try to find something else to do if you really want to stop if it is effecting you school or work.. other wise just keep playing it's fairly normal

Seems like you have more of a problem with being competitive and patience. 4-6 hours a day really isn't too bad. But if you're selling belongings and cutting budget on important things (like food) just to afford games and even lose sleep over them then you have a problem.

this is absolutsly normal, and trust me. that isnt obsession. i probly spend 25/7 on gaming and yes that is 25. yes i do have a job and social life as well.

but I don't do that, I'm 17, I live with my parents and there's no need to do any of that. If I wasn't living with my parents and I was 19 or older I'd be in University

i think its normal....i play alot of ps3 too...every so often i get the urge to play nonstop...i think its either because you have alot of spare time...and have nothing better to do...i'v been playing so much ps3 the past couple of weeks...the same games over and over

pretty normal. I used to get very mad sometimes at Call of Duty and Halo 3 when I would play online on 360, but when I stopped playing 360 due to it breaking and Microsoft being too cheap to cover it, I no longer feel the urge to sneak into my brother's room at 8:00 A.M. to play CoD anymore.

Try other common addictions less frowned upon like smoking,alchol and other recreational drugs.You will die 25 years earlier but you wont be a social outkast!:)

Eh... I play WoW with my boyfriend for long periods of time. But we both go out and do other things. Work/school/ect
Try getting up and going outside every once in a while? Or just get something that will get you up and moving around. Even if it's just something like DDR...

Before you cut it cold turkey... I'd try to play board games with people, like miniatures and such you would still be playing games, you can meet people. And it would take alot of your free time!

I play games for hours too, but I like to finish everything before I start playing, because once I started to play, I can't really stop and concentrate on studying for exams.
