The way you appear speaks before you open your mouth, and in Ohio, your hat is screaming "Not one of you and don't want to be!" at the top of its lungs. Maybe you have the wit and charm to overcome that first impression, and maybe it's even worth it to you to do so, but you are always having to dig your way out of a hole and play a little catch-up with every new person you meet. I guess the cowboy hat shtick is a southern thing. I have never seen a person in Ohio wear a cowboy hat...but that doesn't mean you have to quit. Its just like people in different countries dress differently and uniquely. I live in Ontario, so just across the border and i wouldn't wear my cowboy hat unless i was at a country concert heh.
