Goddamn still living at home and discussing what to wear to bed with your dad.......Just shoot me now.
FUCCK NIIGGER
I think you will be ok but its really not good for you to wear your happy sock to bed each night.
You should sleep the way you were born, naked and unashamed. Wearing sox in bed will only give you athletes foot if you have bad hygene. ie, you dont keep your feet clean and you sweat too much with them on. Also changing your sox regularly will help.
during the colder months its fine. but dont do it during summer, otherwise it'll just get too hot hot and you'll end up sweating with practically no ventilation
im pritty sure true cristians dont use the word nigger
no it does not, hes just weird....
not unless you never wash your socks and you sweat a lot
I have to wear socks when I go to bed. I hate the feeling when they dry out too much; just hate it.

I would imagine with the heat in the summer, with socks on then yes, I'd bet you that Athlete's Foot would more likely occur. In the winter, not so much. Moisture and heat are the two leading causes of growth of the fungus. So, I wouldn't wear socks so much during the summer.
the part about living at home is unnecessary. thats not even part of the story it was just weird that you had to say that.

it cant cause athletes foot. relax about it.
Honestly I think he may be right, because you are sweating when you are asleep if your feet are too hot, and that moisture can get trapped in the sock for hours and develop fungus and mold.
ive heard something similar. i think it just comes down to bedtime being a chance for your feet to get air. So if you're prone to getting athletes foot, then yeh take off your socks when you sleep.
Was your dad in the army or work in construction - wearing crusty sweaty socks to bed - sure, there's a hygiene issue. But if they are clean ...
