Weed making me nervous
55% Normal
11 Comments

It used to be such a treat for me to come home from school or any other boring outing and smoke some herb. In my final year of High School I became incredibly tired of staying up all night completing assignments, so I then decided to use the time machine known as meth. I finished all my work in a flash with A+'s on all my assignments. I only did meth about three or four times in all, and havent done it since. But since this ordeal anytime I try to hang out with some friends and be cool, and stoned like I used to, I get incredibly nervous, paranoid, and even frightened at times. I am completely uncomfortable even around my childhood friend. What could this mean?
Do you think it's normal?

you just getting paranoid, cut back on the weed a little, ive been there myself friend.
uhm, it's simple...don't do weed.
Maybe your realizing what ur doing is not right, if you are doing it for the wrong reasons. To fit in> If this is the case, and your friends or whomever you hand out with diss thyou just for not doing it, then maybe they aren't your real friends if all they are gonna do is pressure you into something.
If you can get past part, then its simple, Don't Do Weed.
:)
Yeah, some people get paranoid or worse while high. Years ago, I only had happy, fun experiences with weed, and then the last couple of times I tried it (over a year ago) I was miserable, afraid, and extremely paranoid of the people around me. I even thought I was going insane, since everyone else was having a good time. But as soon as we started snacking and watching a hilarious movie, I forgot about these feelings and I laughed the rest of the night. Still, I gave up the weed.

It's normal for the effects of many drugs to change on you sometimes.

So, if you're willing to quit, I say go for it. You don't have to worry about getting caught, you save some money, and you won't get that dreadful "nervous high". Depending on how much you've been smoking, you may even be able to think clearer.

If you're not willing to quit then try it alone. Get some snacks, watch a silly movie, and see if your mood improves.

Also: METH?! Yeeeah, that could have something to do with it. Have you seen those photos of people after just a few years of meth use? You may not plan to use it that long, but no beginning user ever does. It ain't propaganda, that stuff is toxic. Don't let weed be your gateway drug.
Drugs = Generally a Bad Idea

I did my persuasive essay on some of the negitive effects that drugs can have on you, and those definatley sound like some.

My recomendation is to give up on both pot and meth and find another activity to get you through the day. I'm not saying cut yourself or anything, but taking walks or joining a sports team could be more benfical.
Meth speeds your body up 8 times faster than it should be. Allowing you to work much faster but its at a heavy cost. And the crash is most likely the worse part. Glad I've never used it.
damn that plant, it does the same to me now, except after a year i went through that phase, overlooked it and passed it and i'm now in the same spot! i'm now cutting down and focusing on where i'm going in lyfe cuz weed kinda made me forgot i existed lolz how silly
U just need to smoke less weed, take 1 or 2 tokes and wait, then only toke if you want to after that, your body will say no.
Knowbody knows the answer to this.

Drugs mess up the head - and in the who knows what was damaged. My advice is TO NOT go on any medication for this. In the end it'll make you even stranger! I had a serious problem with marijuana a few years back after an accident. Now I am a pretty nervous and paranoid person. Eat properly, rest, get a nice girl, and deal with the rest as best as possible.
OK. I am not going to preach or tell you what to do with your life like the rest of the idiots here. I'm just gonna tell you the facts. First of all, I've had the same problem for about a year but I somehow kept my love for pot. I don't think it has anything to do with meth although I did do speed and various other drugs. THC is suspected (not really proven) to cause anxiety, psychosis or even schizophrenia for people genetically prone to it. However, there is another active ingredient called Cannabidiol (CBD). This is believed to have the opposite effects and is actually used to treat such symptoms. CBD is found more in indica than sativa so if you have the chance to pick what you're smoking I suggest looking for indica. Also, I recommend watching the BBC documentary 'Horizon: Cannabis the Evil Weed?' And don't forget you have the strength to deal with whatever feelings you have. Mind over matter!
What is so wrong about living life sober. I do it. I am almost thirty and I have never been drunk or high. My parents are addicts and watching their lives desolve to an incoherant mess is just not for me.

It may not be fun but if you spend your time off of your ass and in school or working hard, you would have a far better future.
