Weird Sound
I been here for a very long time and never had to submit a story until now. Well to start off It happen yesterday (3-20-09) at around 4:30pm
I was hunting here in Arizona (I know its not seasonal)but I still was. It was in Flagstaff forest I saw what looked like a Mule Deer but it was not I shot at it anyways but it seems solid like a stone the slug shatterd upon hitting it making it release a loud screech. I don't know what happen after that I must of blacked out because it was almost morning when I got back to my truck. When I went to sleep around 3:50 I started to hear this Loud rumbleing in my ears with a sound of my heartbeat but it is slower than normal and has a small echo. Do any of you know what had might of happen to me?

You must have damaged your ear drum, or experienced temporary hearing loss, because that is not normal. Please go see a doctor.

I could hear perfectly normal but the sound is still there. if doesn't go away tomorrow i'll see a doctor than

If you knew it wasn't a mule deer, then why did yo shoot at it anyway? Do you just fire at anything that moves? Was it moving? How much time would you say that you allegedly lost? Were you laying on the ground and woke up or were you like holy shit I lost a bunch of time all of a sudden? Not enough info, but I would say the other poster is right. The bang from the shot fucked your head up bit. Wear ear plugs next time. You should be wear hearing protection if you do a lot shooting anyway. You'll go fucking deaf from that shit.

it's called tinnitus, I had a similar experience with Trazodone (For sleep, doctor prescribed) Scared the FUCK out of me
