What is my teacher thinking?

I've just begun a new school year and was introduced to all my new teachers around a month ago. Everyone has been nice so far and i've been enjoying my classes so far except a problem i've been having in one of my science courses.
Im not sure what my teacher (lets call him Mr. Confusing Guy) has against me. Im not very used to being abruptly cut off mid sentence or harshly spoken to so i have a real problem with him. However, when we are out of class Mr. Confusing Guy goes out of his way to be nice to me. In fact he even found out where my locker was in order to ask me if i had any problems on a quiz. But in class, he always finds a reason to get angry with me and tries to show how much he dislikes me. For example: Everyone got their assignments handed back to them except for me and he said he left it behind in his office. Alright. Everyone makes mistakes. However if he was 100% sure it was in his office, why wouldn;t he bring it? So then he asks me to come in the morning REAAALLLY early. My school starts way after that so i was not too happy to face his wrath all by myself. Therefore i came a bit later but he got angry and said to come by at lunch to his office. Again, i said ok. When i went to his office however, he said he had given my assignment to another student to give it to me. Now, if he asked me specifically to come to him, why would he make it even harder to have access to my stupid assignment?
Next day, he asks me how i did on a test and he was very friendly. This continued till we got back in class, and once again Mr. Confusing Guy becomes Mr.Mean Guy again. Im just not sure what i have done to deserve this crap. This was just one example of the countless. Its getting in the way of my concentrating. I think if he has a problem with me, he should stop asking me to come to his office and view me as just another student. I dont need him to be extra nice to me outside of class and a bastard once we're back in. Maybe he's just bipolar?
What do you guys think?

Sounds like he likes you and is struggling with it. If so, he's acting really immature. I'd confront him about it, honestly. Tell him you are confused and bothered by his behavior, but keep it appropriate. It's a little creepy that he found your locker and most likely deliberately left your test behind to get you to come to his office. Be careful of him, but let him know that you don't appreciate this hot-cold behavior of his.

Thanks for your comment :)
I think i might have to talk to him about this because he did it again today so i dont think i can take any more of this.... But im not sure if he likes me like that? Granted, he is new to our school and pretty young (28) therefore he may not have developed the fatherly attitude he's supposed to have towards students.
Star writing all this down including dates, times what was done/said. Tell your parents and your principal. This teacher's behaviour toward you is really inappropriate.
sounds like you might have a pedo on your hands

The only problem is: I odnt know whether he is doing this for some sexual reason or if he has an ACTUAL problem with me. This is why i cant talk to him or the principal about it. I dont want to say something and he refutes it with an arguement which in the end makes me look like im crazy.
