Nah i completly get what you mean! I've always thought that making your bed was sooo pointless. So what it looks neat,..Whos gonna see it really. But eating to stay alive is a more serious matter even though it is the same there is actually a point to staying alive

What's the point of her making her bed? Simple, it makes her happy to see it neat and tidy.

i make the bed so that when a eat my dinner, no crumbs get under the sheets. But apart from that i wouldnt bother my arse.

i can see both point of views here. making your bed is worthless because you will end up messing it up again, but making it, makes you look neat and tidy especially if someone u really like is visiting you, and there is spiders they hate tidy places so yeah lol

Hi there, I know what you mean but most people do this out of self respect and cleanliness. For instance if someone visits then the house will be clean and tidy and the beds made, alot of the older people were brought up very strict and had to keep their houses very neat.

i believe putting a few rounds into her would fix it all for you

i never saw the point in making my bed.
my mom's verification is that it "completes the room"
but i say if no one is going to see it but me, who the fuck cares? you can easily close a door if you don't want to look at it but whatever. lol.
idk, that's an interesting philosophy.
but i'm going to say that it's not the same and you're not a hypocrit because.. making your bed comes undone a hell of a lot faster than dying.
and living/dying is just a weird concept in general and really hard to completely understand.
whereas doing pointless things like making your bed are just a waste of time.

i make my bed because it looks better. then it makes me feel better. when i walk in my room and its all messy im like 'ooh nooo', but if its made then it just looks better. :o)

Wow, starting with your mom's bed making habits you've begun to notice the inconsistent nature of life. Remember your mom (i would hope) puts alot of work into you and you'll never fully appreciate her. It's a thankless job but people have been doing it since the dawn of man or else we wouldn't be here. Depending on your religious leanings, many things in life are pointless. But yet we live.

Then why do you bother getting dressed in the morning if you're only going to change out of them clothes at night? Do you not brush your teeth because you're only going to eat and dirty them up again!

I don't make my bed - my husband and I don't sleep under the same covers. To each his own.
