I'm not afraid of anything or anyone, but if I'm downstairs and I have to turn off all the lights (when it's dark) as soon a I turn the light off I run for my life into the light or upstairs etc.

Anyone get me?
Do you think it's normal?

I do it all the time. Loose wiring can cause an electrical disturbance that some people find unnerving. This will cause a "fight or flight" reaction that is unwanted but must be acted upon as if your life depended on it. It's totally normal, so don't worry and just keep doing what you do.
yah u have lik thoughts of somebody running after you, dnt wry i use to b lik that and still kind of am... your scared .. stop watching scary movies lol. i think its bekuz we have a really big imagination.
wow that is exactly what i do to, when i go upstairs and turn off the lights i run and hum idk why i hum but i do
Totally normal. It's not a fear of the dark, it's an uneasiness with not being able to see what's there around you, which makes you feel vulnerable to attack. It goes back to the days when man had predators and kept fires burning to keep them away. Darkness leaves you open to being picked off by some savage beast (or so our psyche wold have us believe)
I'm like that too!!
me too :(
I am like that too. When I turn off the lights when I am downstairs, I make a mad dash upstairs to see the light again. :(
Yep. And I did that all the time as a kid when I was little.
Exactly. ='(
