I get them in the winter, when I cough. They're horrible, but I'm sure they're normal and not a threat to your health in any way.

White, fungus-y looking things are often a sign of a bacterial infection (like strep). They are harmless but gross (I get them when I get sick), so if you see them, I would suggest calling your doctor for an appt. You should schedule a throat culture to find out for sure.

I get these about 2-3 times a week, and I have know no idea what they are. I only started getting them at the start of this year (when I was 17). I wouldn't say they're abnormal, just really annoying to try and get rid of. It's definitely not a result of not brushing teeth; i brush my teeth twice a day, along flossing, using mouthwash and brushing my tongue/along the gums.

that is so funny. My whole family gets them and we have named them "white things" they are so discusting. Me and my friends like to pretend we put them in eachother's food and make eachother gag really loud.

if you don't get them, you're lucky.
p.s. I brush my teeth twice a day.

You are right shamwow is dumb but I'm sure he doesn't even know it.

Shamwow I have an advice for you, if you have nothing nice to say then don't say a thing. No one wants to hear your comments if you are using language like that.

 shamwow you're dumb.

I used to get them before I had my tonsils out and my gf still gets them. My mom actually took me to the emergency room (she's crazy but that's another story).
But anyway they are from food getting stuck in holes in your tonsils, kind of at the back corners. They turn white because your body tries to attack them. Get your tonsils out. I don't want to gross anyone else out, but get a q-tip and try to poke them out.

I get these, and if you squish them, they smell really bad. I suggest saving them and putting them on a friends pizza, or sandwich or down inside a piece of sushi, you know, mixed in with the rice.

I posted the link saying it is not that. It doesn't have any odor, and it has been occurring since I was a little kid, so it's not something new.

It's (seriously) the plaque from your teeth. If you don't brush (you dirty fucker) it eventually falls off and clumps up in the crumpled like tissue in the back of your throat. Once enough builds up it'll fall out. It smells real bad, and can give you a whole host of throat infections.

So fucking brush twice daily. Don't they teach kids that these days'
