I think what may be following you around is not so much the white folks as it is your attitude. I'm a white woman, and I've been watched in some of the stores where I've shopped, too, particularly when I come in carrying a large bag. Shopkeepers are wary these days -- deal with it and don't take it so personally.

And if your attitude carries forward in your interviews, you're not likely to meet with much success. I view employment as a privilege, not a right. You have to earn the right to have a job, and if you don't want it, there are plenty of people in line who will take it for you. Go after employment like you're really hungry for it, not like somebody owes it to you, and see it that doesn't bring you better results.

I am not a racist. We are ALL a shade of brown. Some lighter, some darker.

I find it offensive and ridiculous that many of the black community feel that they are "owed" something, i.e. "reparations". THEY were never slaves. MY ancestors were never slave owners and weren't even in this country when slavery was legal!! Slavery is a thing of the past. GET OVER IT.

Some other rather controversial theories have contended that HIV was transferred iatrogenically (i.e. via medical interventions). One particularly well-publicised idea is that polio vaccines played a role in the transfer.

In his book, The River, the journalist Edward Hooper suggests that HIV can be traced to the testing of an oral polio vaccine called Chat, given to about a million people in the Belgian Congo, Ruanda and Urundi in the late 1950s. Many people have contested Hooper's theories and insist that local chimps were not infected with a strain of SIVcmz that is closely linked to HIV. Furthermore, the oral administration of the vaccine would seem insufficient to cause infection in most people (SIV/HIV needs to get directly into the bloodstream to cause infection - the lining of the mouth and throat generally act as good barriers to the virus).4

In February 2000 the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia (one of the original manufacturers of the Chat vaccine) announced that it had discovered in its stores a phial of polio vaccine that had been used as part of the program. The vaccine was subsequently analysed and in April 2001 it was announced that no trace had been found of either HIV or chimpanzee SIV.5 A second analysis confirmed that only macaque monkey kidney cells, which cannot be infected with SIV or HIV, were used to make Chat.6 While this is just one phial of many, it means that the OPV theory remains unproven.

The fact that the OPV theory accounts for just one (group M) of several different groups of HIV also suggests that transferral must have happened in other ways too, as does the fact that HIV seems to have existed in humans before the vaccine trials were ever carried out.

As a black person, i think some white people are racist, so are some asians, some black people, some hispanics. i know its easy to fall into that trap but you shouldn't let your experiences color (no pun) your views on a whole race, it is no better than when other races classify us all as gun toting gangbangers.

I read your comment but I disagree with you. You are clearly NOT educated and did not spend nearly enough time in school. One of the things about being a philosopher is being educated and seeking knowledge and you clearly didn't do this.

First of all, you should learn to write as it will make you at least appear intelligent. Now let me, an educated person, tear what you said apart.

1. Dragged here against your will, this is true. However, most of the slaves were sold into slavery by black people in Africa and not "stolen" by white men. Of course they hide this information in books, try reading one.
2. After slavery ended, the United States DID offer to send any black person back to Africa if they so choose and the ones who stayed choose to stay.
3. Slavery ended in 1865. So your wrong even there, it has been over a hundred and forty years.

Now let me state some other things in combination to what you stated that will HELP your argument but support why your an uneducated moron even more.

4. Blacks fought and died for our country. This is true, and I feel bad that my country was segregating your race from ours during that time. You didn't mention segregation and if you were educated at all, you would have. Segregation is wrong and the civil right movement was highly necessary. I am very happy now that there is less hatred between our people. Well, at least from the WHITE end of the racial debate. It was wrong to have your race be nothing more than cooks in the navy during WWII or privates in the army. It was wrong and your race really did help out in the war.

5. Its true, my race did destroy the indian culture and pretty much their people. We forced them to move to the worst parts of the land and even the indians who tried to migrate to our culture were virtually illiminated. rail of tears, look this one up as well.) I feel bad for indians and would gladly have helped them back then if I was back then, however I cannot change what my people did but I can remember and honor them.

Now my point from my point of view.

1. The differences between the United States and Africa. Africa is a sh*thole, nothing more and nothing less. It is filled with people dying of AIDs and among all of the continent, not one nation save Egypt (Different debate on this one) as a functional government. A lot of the country is filled with people who would rather fight in stupid wars than WORK toward a better future.

2. I stated this before on another racist forum question, look at the world map. Only the predominate WHITE countries with a few exceptions in ASIA are financially secure and booming with technological growth. AFRICA IS NOT ONE OF THE THRIVING AREAS.

3. You didn't mention it but I think you believe that reparations are needed for "your peoples suffering." My answer is NO. Slavery ended over 140 years ago and I wasn't alive then, I had no control on the past and you weren't alive then to suffer. However, it is typical for someone to want something for nothing. Try working hard and EARNING something.

4. It takes hard work and dedication to do anything and you being a "recording" something is just f**king retarded. You should go to school and better your life through hard work and dedication instead of trying to take the easiest way out. I'm trying to write a novel but I am in school and are crippled. Every African American I've ever known has made no attempt to be at all tactful in their observations, thoughts, opinions, etc. about white people.
