i hope they do. Mp3's are the future and the future is now..so i think the cd players should be banished!

yea, i like cd's, but its not like i would choose them over ipod.
cd's=past
mp3=present or whatever.

and yea with an mp3 player (such as ipod) you can get this attachment thingy that plugs in ur car power thing and you set it to the same radio station as ur thing and then you can listen there. if that made any sense.

On Dec.16 2009 they will become obsolete.

I think CD players will be replaced by MP3s and DVD movies will be soon available on flash cards and stuff

What's a CD?

its all going digital now, the internet is expanding exponentially and connections to it are getting bigger by the day. music, video and other data can be instantly streamed to any computer around the world.
saying that cd's and the internet are jsut a medium. it all goes back to instruments and a machanical way of creating music. as long as the quality is alrite i dont really care about the medium.

saying that im a dj and i love buying vinyl i think there's a much warmer sound off a record and needle that you cant get from digital means. but thats the way the cookie crumbles.

Vynly records, 8track tapes, more or less cassettes, Beta systems, to some extent Vcrs. Allthese things have come and gone and yeah the CD is on its way out!

mp3's suck....where is this world coming to??? I don't want to see cd's go away....

i'm not too sure about mp3's and ipods....the sound isn't very good....just cheap plastic crap....
