I just bought new shorts I paid $70 for and now I hate them. Someone said the pockets on the bum are too long and they are correct so since tomorrow is rubbish day I am going to throw them in the bin along with at least 1 pair of my Levis maybe 2 pairs of my Levis.

Do you women ever get clothes and then change your mind on them?

The problem is I have no one to help me when buying clothes, no friends and no family is able to. Unless I pay $150 per hour for a stylist I have no one.

If you can afford to buy and throw away $70 jeans for such an idiotic reason, why is $150 for an hour with a stylist out of your budget or level of intellect used for decision making?

I don't think I've paid $70 for one single piece of clothing in my life.

Also, why not return or exchange the shorts? This post reads more like a humblebrag (as most of his do)...'I can throw away $70'

And now he has no friends but yesterday he told me he knows about the state of women's restrooms because his female friends are so open with him.

I see other people have also suggested donating to charity, but clearly those people who require charity can go fuck themselves.

Unbelievable.

Surprised he hasn't deleted me, because he doesn't like people who don't suck his dick.

Off topic - your kitty looks so fluffy :)

Don't base your style choices on the opinions of others. You liked the pants when you got them, so you probably still like them. So keep them and wear them.
If you still insist on throwing away $70, donate your clothes instead. At least that way someone else can get use out of them.

It's what the mirrors are there for.

Buying clothes shouldn't be this hard, and instead of throwing new clothes away just donate them.

Well I use the mirrors and buying new clothes is this hard, seems to be. I am going to buy some more and probably new shorts to replace the ones I bought last week.

That is fucked up...

I usually ask myself like
- do i really need it?
- can i use this money for something better?
- do i have anything to go with it?
- do i have a similar one?

I do the same thing but it never seems to work for me. I am going shopping tomorrow I may come back with more stuff or I may not bother since whatever I buy it won't work. I am starting to think clothes have a special feature built in to look great in shops but turn to crap the moment you have left the store so you go and buy more. Wouldn't surprise me.

But hey since I am such a failure with everything else in my life there is no point to anything anymore. May as well not try to do anything at all no matter what it is because i will only fail.

Anyway sorry about that but that is how I feel. :(

Stop apologising and get some confidence if you're not confident nothing can work

Yeah, I am just so disappointed and annoyed about buying those awful shorts that I thought were good and wasted so much money on them. I just feel there is no point buying anymore clothes because the next ones will be the same.

Take heart, 99% plebian, you are playing the appearance game completely wrong. Here are the clothing game rules.

1. Wear cheap shitty clothes that are comfortable around the house. Crap from Walmart is fine.

2. Have one or two expensive outfits that are made to last. You will look smarter in a well made outfit that is slightly worn, than shit clothes that are brand new.

3. To present yourself decently at the country club, wear an intermediate quality shirt that has been starched at the cleaners. Don't waste your own time ironing. Let Asian illegal immigrants do it.

4. Hair speaks volumes. Use expensive conditioner for job interviews and work environments.

5. Stop wasting your money. If you are into humblebrag, humblebrag about the return on your investments. (Beating the market, etc.) You will also save money by driving a dependable car, like a Honda Civic that is built to last 225,000 miles. Park it in the back of the car park and nobody will notice. I have a Toyota pickup that I use when I want to deflect attention.

What? Why are people saying this is normal?
I don't think I spend even 70$ on clothes for an entire year. If you are really that desperate for an opinion just ask some random people at the store about what they think of it. Also follow Tealights advice, if you can afford 70$ on clothes you can afford to donate them too.

While this is pure speculation, I think you are too conscious of what other people see. For one you bought shorts for 70$, and you started to hate them because some random dude said the pockets were bad. Just cut them and sow them back if you care so much about it.

I do not think you can cut the pockets.

I only buy what I need. Maybe twice a year I'll buy one or two pairs of cargo pants and a pack of black t-shirts for work. Almost all of my other clothes are hand-me-downs and that's ok with me. I don't get to dress up or wear non-work clothes that often, so I only buy essentials. And I give no fucks whatsoever as to what others think of my wardrobe.

That's why I have a hot older sister to help me clothes shop. Or, if I'm lucky..She just goes for me. When I go with her, though, I always pay for lunch or dinner, and, tell her pick up whatever she wants, and I pay for it. Handbag, skirt, and, twice, a tiny bikini only I see her in. I do wear what she tells me to buy and looks good on me, giving her a sense of "I did that".

It has been my problem for the longest time so I would help. Dress to flatter your figure , watch outfits on the Internet, follow YouTubers with your body type and watch what flatters them take screenshots of outfits you really want and keep them in a separate inspiration folder in your phone. Don't go shopping half mindedly and organise your closet often to keep a track of what you already have and what you want. Invest in some basic pieces of neutral colours and dont splurge more on trends but rather classic pieces like damn I want a fringe bag but the fashion would fade and it's much of a statement piece so if I happened to buy one it wouldn't be from YSL or Gucci talk Zaea and mango. Also, invest in pieces that make you look put together like shoes, perfumes, capes, coats, jackets, jeans and buy more neutral coloured stuff when in doubt like navy, black, white, gray. Get your old clothes tailored and you'd look so fly already you would not need new ones soon. Hope I help I have summarised every YouTube video I have seen in my life. Ciao.

I do try to dress to suit my body. I know what you are saying but it won't work for me. I am just going to throw the shorts in the bin and be done with it. Maybe I will buy more clothes and spend more money tomorrow or maybe I won't because it is all pointless as the new things will have stuff wrong with them. I have no person that can give me advice and I can't afford to pay $150 dollars an hour for a stylist because it would take about 8 hours I guess and then there is the cost of the clothes on top of that.

I am going to continue staying at home and I think the best thing for me is to never leave the house. Anyway sorry.

Their are a lot of online shopping sites which are far more better and inexpensive, I have never paid 70$ for a piece of clothing in my life still they say that I dress so fly. im a fashion student and I can help you if you want.btw are you a male ?

Yeah, I am a male. Strange I care so much about clothes I now but I like to look good. Some woman made a point about how my new shorts did not look good because the pockets on the back were a bit long but then another woman liked them. So I guess they have got to go. The pockets are a bit long but where do you find a pair that is not like that. I hate Levis brand as well for jeans as well as every pair of Levis I have bought does not suit me.

Why do I care so much because i like to look good and I now it matters to women how a guy dresses so I like to look perfect but it seems no matter how hard I try I fail. I guess I just have to keep buying and throwing clothes in the bin until I find some that suit me. I have not thrown away clothes yet as i see it as a waste of money to buy $70 shorts and just throw them strait in the bin and a waste generally as well. I have not thrown away any of my other clothes yet either as i don't like waste. The comment about throwing it away I made is frustration, sadness and disappointment.

I have a pair of Levis that I bought last year that I don't like so they just live thrown in a corner on the floor now. I am thinking of doing it with my other pair of Levis as well.

As a man you do not spent 70$ on shorts. Girls in generally do not like most men in shorts at all so your particular pair pf shorts is not the Reason. They like your legs covered for some odd reason. Invest in cropped pants like hitting about your ankle. Adidas superstars are good shoes to invest in with a cropped pant look. Olive / brown cropped pants would look great with a simple white shirt with rolled up sleeves and all buttons closed. Leather/ Denim Jackets and Blazers are good to invest in , not shorts. you do not pay 70$ for half a pant. Try other brands if not Levi's. Good fabric shirts with colours like light blue, black, gray help. Also keep your T shirts plain and neutral and I can tell you other outfit combinations too if you tell me what's your aesthetic and what kind of clothes you are into the tumblr boy or the business boy.

Right now I hate clothes! They let you down far too often. Levis is really bad for me personally. I was told that my shorts are not that good and have been told women don't like shorts anyway. The ones I bought last week for $70 so since it is rubbish day tomorrow it is a good chance to get rid of those things that I now can't stand the thought of. They will have to leave the room tonight because I don't want those awful things in the same room I am in. Sorry.

Well I use to love clothes but hey all most of them have done has let me down. I don't want to waste anymore money on them since whatever I buy will look bad on me. Maybe I need to buy some more women's clothes but it is just to much to think about.

I am sorry if I am repeating myself but I really don't know what I have told you now and what I have not but I have no one to help me in the shops like friends as I have no friends. My family is not that good as they don't really know other than my sister who is too busy.

I have decided on something though.

What have you decided

I am still deciding. I guess whatever clothes I buy not all women are going to like them and really I should be thinking stuff what women think it should be if I like them or not.
