Normally I'm not one to complain, but I really feel helpless because I can't find another job right now. I'm starting college soon, and I don't feel like dealing with looking, and I have messed up my credit a little, so it will be hard for me to get a better paying job.
The problems I'm having is the a/c is broke, and I have to stand behind a 450 degree oven and 998 degree toaster oven. It's so bad I have vomited 3 or 4 times everyday for the past week, because of the heat. We are very understaffed, and as much as I like being an assistant manager at a Subway restaurant I really feel like giving up, and getting on welfare for the college semester.
I'm also very sick of employees bickering at each other over petty BS, and I'm sick of dealing with my boss cheating on his wife with the store manager. Is any of this crap normal at any other job, because IF it is I may decide to change my major at college this semester?
If something feels wrong, GTFO. You know what that means I assume. Get the eff out.
The only reason you wouldn't gtfo is because you're afraid of what others may say. Well, let them say what they've got to say. They don't know how you feel. They can express their views , you can respectfully listen, but it's ultimately you that you've got to please.
You don't really need the money, I'm guessing. College is not important, it's vanity. You probably have parents you can live with. One thing is for certain, if you're living in continual anguish something needs to change. You'll deal with the consequences as they arise. You can do better, or else you would be grimly determined to keep at 'er.
College is to important to give up. You can always get another job else where. As for the bosses in this world, I have one thing to say to them. THERE ARE LAWS OUT THERE TO PROTECT THE WORKER. IF YOU VIOLATE THEM YOU CAN BE FIRED. So think twice before reacting.
