Zombie Fears

For a while just after I'd moved into my new apartment I started having irrational fears about zombies being real. I knew it was ridiculous and yet late at night I'd think about what I'd do if the movies ever came true. What always had scared me about zombies is that your allies and loved ones can turn against you in a second so you would just have to fend for yourself. Sometimes in the morning when I'd leave before the sun came up I'd have a moment where I'd wonder if everything had changed over night while I was asleep and I couldn't tell because no one else was up yet.
Do you think it's normal?

I had zombie fears when I was addicted to resident evil games when I was a kid, but now if something turned my loved ones into zombies I would rather shoot myself instead of doing something to them, something very creepy to me that that I once heared from a song from a rock band from spain was " when you sleep you just practice the state of being dead " which actually made me be afraid of sleeping. You're normal or maybe we are both not.
yea, it's normal, you probably just have an bit of an over-active imagination, I'm the same. i was watchin a bunch of horror films one night, and i thought i was fine wi it, but when i tried to get to sleep i started picturing Max Schrek as Nosferatu, which isn't actually that scary a film but he always creeped me out. i didn't sleep properly for like a week :L a lot more people are probably creeped out the whole zombie/ vampire/ supernatural thing than admit it.
also, if you've recently moved, any anxiety about that could exacerbating your fears
I keep hoping it will happen
hah--me too
I live for the meer chance of zombie infestation, i live in the middle of nowhere, also have lots of guns ;)
Me too. I think you're extremely normal. ;)
watch Shaun of the Dead--trust me it'll make zombies seem less scary =)
i think about the zombie apocalypse a lot, sometimes i slip into daydreams and play out what i would do, it feels SO real. i have a few zombie plans, and i am probly more prepared than most people. mayhaps, u kick major *ss
What i hate is that (this is in my imagination) there are a bunch of zombies and your trapped in a big building (like a maze). It's really scary because a single wrong turn and you would be dead. It's really scary. And if it does happen... I would freak out so much...
Nah, I'm with most of these people.

I think about this all the time, and I get paranoid as well!

I've got a plan for the zombie apocalypse, haha. I sleep with a very large knife under the head of my bed. I look forward to kicking zombie heads in.

I just don't like the idea of possibly becoming infected, or that happening to my friends and family. I want a zombie invasion without fears of becoming one of the... well, zombies. :D All the fun with no strings attached!
I totally share your fear of zombies. The threat of waking up to the zombie apocalypse used to plague my nights with unrest. When I would wake up the next day, I wouldn't open my door until I could convince myself the world was still normal.

As for the thought of my loved ones becoming zombies. I never really give that much thought, I think it would push me past the brink of sanity.

It actually got to the point where I stressed so much about it that I desensitized myself to it and now I just go about my daily life. I'm still mindful of it, it just doesn't worry me as much anymore because I'm so prepared. I have an extremely well thought out plan. I've read countless survival books and have become extremely accurate with my 7mm rifle(which i have bought specifically for this occasion).

So I'd say either We're both crazy or its perfectly normal.
I played resident evil 2 in my nans when i was 6 and i had nightmares up until 14, grusome, horrible nightmares. Sometimes i'd feel a very very intense tickling sensation, but a hurting tickling sensation and i'd be aware of it, and i used to be afraid of sleeping because of these dreams, i'm alright now though. so i guess youll grow out of it
yea i share ur fears and even bought weapons (sword and bow i got the bow because legal guns r hard to come by in scotland and the arrows r reusable negateing the ammo shortage fears if ur still having the fears read the zombie survivial guide tells u wat to do the best hiding place and wat equipment u will need i think its ment to be a joke but everything in it has bin researched and is viable as for ur family turning its kill or b killed!
I do that too xD. I actually check the places I'm staying at and wonder how I'd best proof it against a zombie attack :P
Im A No.1 Fan On This Zombie Over Run thing. but what are zombies? hmmm RAGED Athletic(Running) mindless out of control cannibals? as 28 days later shows? and tells? or are they Slow Dead Mindless Corpses? Hmm tbh we wont know til the Day this happens, IF it ever does? wb =3 ;]
why..?
Squeee! I love zombies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd kill my dog first and then myself last. fukked up huh
Well there is actually a significant amount of media to help he general public be prepared for Z-day.

Granted most of it is satire, but hey, take what you can get.

Sit back and wait WWZ is on its way
I actually think it'd be pretty cool. Well, as long as I had at least one person to survive with :/
I have these fears all of the time.
actually I was never afraid of this until I read this post. Cool.
Just play the games Left for Dead and download the mod via Steam of Zombie Panic. After a few hours of those games, you will realise that a zombie apocolypes is just going to end up taking you down as well.

Lastly, I like playing the black guy in L4D and one time; someone actually yelled at me for VOLUNTEERING to be the Nigger. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
