I don't think anything is wrong with it, a lot of your mid age couples have large age gaps my parents are 8 years apart and started dating when my mother was 16 and 30+ years later and both their kids are out of college and they are really well established themselves. I'm not saying 16 year olds mature or not for their age are ready for marriage but they have a understanding of dating. That just like any other relationship has to grow into a mature serious relationship. As long as the guy don't make the girl do anything sexually. And understands they are things she isn't going to understand at times due to her age then nothing's wrong with it. A 23 year old isn't looking to marry anytime soon usually. And they are some good guys out there still. The ones being negative either never experienced this, or wasn't any good themselves talking based off how they are or were. Older guys go for young girls sometimes a use truth is if you have good morals they arent very many 20 + year old single good girls . They all are taken already. I played 4 years of collegiate ball and had pretty girls my age at the time I picked my fiancée now who was 16 at time over them. Cause she was raised good, was mature for her age, and had more sense then the 21 year olds at the time. And I was in no rush, with time to wait on her to grow into what I knew she would be. Everyone needs to quit judging and stereotyping things into categories. Most guys who go after young girls are creeps losers who want one thing. But ever so often a good guy with a future comes along and sees potential of a good wife in the FUTURE and don't let her get away. And if I was a dad id much prefer the RIGHT 23 year old over a 17,18,19 year old punk who only will treat her like crap.

well im having the same situation...im a 23 year old guy and ive been goin out with a 16 yr old girl for a year now...n we love eachother...its kinda weird when u think about it i mean i was 7 when she was born but then again there r a lot of married couples that have age difference between their wifes n husbands...so i think age is just a number. this is my longest relationship so if its goin good y should i end it just coz ppl think that its wrong or illegal? personally i dont give a shit....

I was 23 when I met my girlfriend who was 16 years old. That was 4 years ago. Yes, the relationship is normal as long as it is not sexual. For the appropriateness of sexual relationships with an age difference, I recommend the "half your age + 7 rule". In the end, I still broke the rule. But at least I never broke any law. Now we are engaged.

It's not illegal for a 15-year-old and a 23-year-old to date. It is illegal for them to have sex (in countries where the age of consent is 16 or higher - some countries have a lower age). Dating doesn't necessarily mean they are ahving sex!

People are always saying that girls mature faster, but that's a bunch of bullshit. This dude is with her so he can get it in. Seriously. Or he's just a total loser and can't get with older girls. If her parents know about this they should definitely do something and get their daughter away from that creep.

If she was 23 and he was 7 yrs older, no problem.
But because she's so young, is just not normal for her to date such an older boy/man.
Girls start dating boys their own age, and maybe 1 yr older, but that's all.
Only until she's 18 though. Then she can move on to slightly older guys, as it seems more acceptable when you're 18 to date a 20 yr and older man.

I'm eighteen and dating a twenty five year old man, but I'm obviously of age. Keep that one under watch, seeing as she's not even yet sixteen and likely enjoys the idea of an older man being into her. It'll suck to tell her, but it may be best for them to wait to date. Why is he not into women his own age?

I would tell the guy that she is illegal and depending on your state laws to wait until she is of legal age. It is very common though.
