What era do you want to be in

60-70's was the Pinnacle of life on Earth, drugs, sex, no HIV, good jobs that turned into great jobs with retirements for life.

I wish I was live in the 80's. I love music and fashion from this era.

Definitely the 80s for me.

I grew up in the 80s and life was pretty good. The 90s were kinda shit and this is just a horrible time to grow up. I think in the mid 90s, companies really managed to lock on to culture, business, media, just everything - everything is so different now, nothing is genuine.

80's. It was still possible to tinker with electronics and create things with DIY kits. Nowadays it's all nanotech and an engineer is just one of so many in a huge company. What's still there to invent also?
I'd miss the Internet though.

I want to live 1 year before strong AI exists because I want 7680 x 4320 LED TVs and 1gbps to be ubiquitous, and artificial intelligence will takeover the world, but can't do that without seeing the strong AI before enjoying even a few years of wedded bliss, so I'll settle on turning 34 when that happens, which I hope is now. We'll have to stop it before that happens, by force if necessary.

I want to be in the 50's so, I'd feel obese lol. I saw a women's high-waisted bikini from the 50's (went for sale on etsy) and it apparently had a 21 inch waist. I was like "wow women back then were very skinny" People call me slim skinny and some say healthy but, having a 25 inch (at only 5'1) if I was in the 50's, I might look a bit big. Then again, they didn't have all the fast food we have today

Too idealistic-a-question, to me. It's a cherry-picking thing, at best. Some might want the 1920s, but only if antibiotics existed, and others might want the 1950s, but only if the pacemaker was around. Or the 1800s, but only if women were allowed to vote or their voices mattered (it didn't, back then).

It's too idealistic. If we weren't allowed to cherry-pick at all, I have no idea what era. None, in terms of medical advancements, seem as good as we have it now. We used to die from a dental infection. Good god. :P

the fabulous 1950s...but I'd have to be independently wealthy as a woman, or be a man. I love the style of this period, but to be a woman then probably wasn't the greatest.
