      That's not how reserve currency works. It's nice if everyone uses USD for their transactions but it's not required. USD in reserves bolsters the usd domestically and internationally.

      You're misunderstanding me. The strongest economy of the day, (the superpower of the day) comes with, as you said, a stable and trustworthy currency, so it becomes the reserve currency too.
