    • Oh God. Well you had to mess it at some point because all your answers were an endless streak of intelligence. Still hoping you're sarcastic :'(

Truth be told most of what comes from animals is pure instinct. Domestic animals show affection and can attach themselves to a human being but they're mostly just too stupid to have malicious intent.

They don't think as we do. They don't have a right and wrong scale. They do things because they feel like it or their instincts tell them to.

Yeah, they have feelings. Not like we humans do but they do, but their brain is incapable of being malicious.

It's kind of sad though, don't you think? The only way a creature on this planet can be without malicious intent is to simple be unable to.

        • I am not even wasting my time with you. You're the "EVERYTHING I DISLIKE IS DEGENERATE" dude. I spend an awful amount of time with people like you in online communities and I learned that there is absolutely no point in any discussion. I tried being very direct and offensive, I tried being mild and defensive, I tried understanding, I tried being patient, I tried to learn and to listen to them, and all led me to the exact same conclusion: you're a waste of time. Don't waste your time anymore talking to me, I have no interest in talking to you.

Animals are the only ones who give you back what you put into them. I've almost always gotten a 100% or more back on my investment of time, energy and emotion with animals especially my Siamese cat that I have now! People are very risky to me, and annoying... did I mention annoying?

        • Ok, it's very puerile from my persepctive, but you don't really need my validation or anything like that. But I am "on the opposite side" and I reject all these theories.

Well, you are free to see it anyway you so choose, but my cat is more important to me than the majority of the human race. I honestly don't see it as childish, or all of that unusual.

            • I find it extremely bizarre. Humanity is much more valuable than cats, but I assume you suffered from mankind and you reached this conclusion as a result. I wish I could undo/compensate for some of the damage you took.

              • I didn’t really want to say anything on this sub-thread, but I agree with you completely, DDaviDD.

I want to make it clear I understand Rose’s and IrishPotao views, and I agree that pets generally won’t hurt you like humans, but they don’t offer the same benefits as other people do. I say this as a person whose early life was faced with constant bullying and rejection, so I know it’s easy to want just reject others in return, but I still it’s more useful to have friends with humans.
