I mean, He refers to Himself as Father(at least in the Bible), so...

Did you know "he" didn't literally write it?

Yeah, but some of the things in it are quoting Him. God refers to Himself as male.

No, sorry, you are mistaken. Nothing in the Bible is literal. It is all myth. This doesn't mean there are some valuable lessons to learn. But many books offer this. Little Red Riding Hood teaches you that looks can be deceiving. But the wolf didn't literally talk to Red.

The idea of god speaking is merely an idea with human flair. Quoting god is like quoting a tree. We as humans speak for other thins because they cannot speak in a way we understand.

Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that the Jews were never enslaved by the Babylonians or the Egyptians. Oh, wait, they were. Well, it's not like ancient Rome existed. Oh, wait, yes it did. Even historians agree that Jesus was a real man. It's only His divinity that they disagree with. Saying that nothing in the Bible is literal is ignorant. There's an entire chapter of Genesis dedicated to nothing but lists of geneology, I suppose that's somehow a metaphor?

You seriously believe that the being that created the universe is incapable of direct communication?

I see you are good at grossly misinterpreting the text. Most stories are rooted in truth, it doesn't mean those things literally happened. Spartacus is based on a real historical figure but most people recognize the movie is not a documentary.

Have you ever played a game of telephone? One person whispers something to someone, then they turn and whisper it to another, and so on, and so on, etc...Now imagine doing that about a million times and in a variety of languages. Now add mental illness to a few of those.

Now imagine this, god existed before language and well before written word.

You are discussing a fraction of humanity's belief system.

It is not my intention to attack your faith but you are being very narrow minded.

You seem to be unaware that many of the accounts of the Bible were written by the people involved in them. The ones that weren't got passed down through oral tradition. Now, most people think that oral tradition is unreliable, and today, it might be, but back in the day, if anyone deviated even the slightest bit from how the story was supposed to be told, they'd get called out for it.

So what if He existed before language? You don't think He invented language? Even if He hadn't, why should that mean He can't use language? I existed before smartphones, yet I can still use them.

Is it also narrow minded to think that the only solution to 2+2 is 4?
