That's probably gunna happen. NASA is working on a lot of projects right now that will put people on the moon again very soon. Current projects are for temporary visits for research purposes to test out a lot of technology for the eventual Mars landing, but it's really not much of a leap to suggest that it will eventually lead to permanent structures and long term residents.
I wish we wouldn't have to carve up the moon just to throw a few buildings down. It'll be a sad night when I gaze at the moon and see 3d printed houses
I know what you mean. The moon is beautiful and I understand why you are concerned about it's peace - I've spent hours staring at it through my telescope. I draw it sometimes too, it's very peaceful. But also at some point we need to start colonising other parts of the solar system (and eventually the wider galaxy) or we're all doomed. The earth is finite and vulnerable in ways that we cannot currently guard against so humans cannot survive without expanding elsewhere. We need contingency.
I guess it depends on your outlook though - I know some people who say we are doomed to a rise and fall and it's selfish to pollute other parts of the universe in an attempt to save our own skins. I respect both view points and feel that they represent the two sides of our humanity.

How so? How would the moon lose its peace?

Like if we build a colony on it or something.
