I don't see weaponizing a bulldozer as being any more legal than making a bomb from a pressure cooker. Pressure cookers are legal, sure. Bombs made out of them aren't

Bombs are weapons of mass destruction.

Black powder cannons are not as they technically dont even count as fire arms or destructive devices as they are too simple. The only limiter on the actual cannon itself is the propellant, black powder. In personal possession you are only allowed 25 pounds of the stuff. Which means any cannon(s) that are attached cannot surpass that total limit. The maximum any killdowzer can pack is 25 pounds. So either one large gun or many smaller guns.

Plus I made it a point to not care about the armor. Thin aluminum and whatever padding to make the pilot not go deaf. Fairly certain that the pilot would instantly die in a fire fight against any caliber. It's a showpiece not an actual mechanized battle vehicle.

As a even if said cannons would be classed as guns I am legally allowed to sell up to 5 guns a year without a weapons manufacturer license as long as they have a serial number on it.

Legally its sound for a replica cannon as long as it doesnt use fixed ammunition which by design it's cheaper not to do. Legally each cannon would have safety features installed while modifying the replica in its firing method it would not change the fact you would need to manually reload each shot as it's a muzzle loaded gun.

What's stopping an asshole with taking an already existing cannon or building one and filling it with grapesshot? A bomb is WAY easier.

Well thank you. Me and the ATF legal page is very well acquainted.

Last thing I want to have is a random person mowing down people with my invention. Its not a tank, it's something for regular people to have to shoot for fun. Unless you are in the army closest thing you can get to shooting a tank is in video games. Plus it's a personal dream of mine to own a mech. Being able to crank out $50,000 "poor mans" tanks seems to be a sensible hobby for people who have the money to enjoy (safely)
