Anyone know the answer to that!? I tried using a calculator and the results were 'E' (Elephant?) I am trying to do my homework and its getting weird. So does anyone know the answer to that!? 534872 divided by 0?

    Anything divided by 0 is 0... i tried it for you anyway and the calculator said 'error'

    OK. Divide 534872 by a small number. Then divide it again by a smaller number. What happens to the quotient as the small number approaches zero? Does that give you a clue?

    It doesn't have an answer because it is an impossible division. Your teacher probably added it as a joke just to see what ridiculous answers he gets back.

              No as Darkoil said, you can't divide 0.

              Think of a cake, I can divide it into pieces because I have the cake.

              Now if I don't have a cake, how can I divide something I don't have?

              Your saying 534872/0 = 0
              That would mean that 0x0=534872
              You cant divide by 0 because you always run into this same problem.
