A black guy and his wife just moved into my apartment building. They are the only black people living in this building. Great people. He's a lawyer, she's a registered nurse. My pet peeve is my dumb ass neighbor who feels the need to talk ebonics to this man as a way to be friendly. I've talked to my dumb ass neighbor about his sounding offensive but he just doesn't get it. Is it normal that a middle class white guy could be so out of touch?

    It's not about Trump. Trump doesn't matter. He's one man, a ridiculous bafoon, but just one man. No, it's never been about Trump.

    Why do you immediately pass judgement on the "middle class white guy" and think these neighbors somehow need defending just because they are educated and black? Butt out of other people's lives, if your neighbor is bothered by it he can deal with it himself because he is a grown man. You don't need to play PC police and defend all the blackies from ebul white devils in suburbia.

    Totally normal

    As a Black man myself with a advanced degree I can tell you that many 'out of touch' white people seem to think ebonics is how all black people talk.

    Personally I never ever speak ebonics as I got my ghetto pass revoked many years ago. 99% of everyone I lived around after becoming an adult were either educated black or non-blacks....none of which spoke ebonics.

    Just a small note. I have gynecomastia ie male breasts, I decided to not see a doctor specifically because he saw me and tried to speak ebonics. I speak English and Japanese only thank you.
