i need a good excuse for missing school for a week

Hi my family have been planing a trip to thr beach for over a year and me and my whole family (cousins aunts uncles grandparents ect.) are all going to the trip and we are all excited until I checked the dates that we are going on and it wasn't spring break it was a week after spring break so I'm gonna miss at least a week of school and sadly I go to a catholic school where they don't even except 20% of attendance if you miss at least 20% you do extraordinary's which is examines it doesn't even matter if you have great grades not even like As and I can't miss school at all and my principal is actually a man who's really really really stubborn and if you tell her a little light she'll suspended you I really don't know what to do because I'm going to miss the week at school and I don't know what is told my principal I think school is a privilege and I'm really proud of going to a really good school but sometimes I have to go on a break if you have any good ideas please tell me

    Whatever school you go to you're a very bad advertisement for it's literacy standards. Your principal who is actually a man is a her and a she? You're considering telling her/him a light?

    If this is a really good school (your words) I'd hate to see a post from someone attending a bad school.

    Get your parents to write a letter to the principal saying it's an important family matter and you won't be at school that week. What the matter is, is none of their business. The school does not own you.

    In what world do you imagine a private school's policies trump parental decisions? The minimum days a student can attend school and still graduate is state mandated, anyway and not up to the individual school.
    If you are going to have to bust your ass to catch up, well that's just the price you are going to have to pay to play, instead of going to school.
    Lie at your own risk.

    Tell them you developed a life risking disease and you were confined to the hospital for most of spring break and the first week of school. Exaggerate it and tell them u almost died.

    Just be honest. If you go to a school like this, write a letter to the principal or the board that runs that school. If all else fails, switch. Being honest is more important, and if they penalize you for being honest and how you went on a trip that quite possibly had money involved in it to make it happen, then the school is clearly a bad school.

    Tell them you sprained your neck and you'll be home until it gets better.

    Tell them you were mugged/raped and you don't feel safe outside.

    Tell them you have the stomach flu and you can't leave your bathroom.

    Tell them a family member died and you need time to recover.
